Position: Marketing Associate
Reports to: Marketing Director

ArtOps offers shared services in administration, marketing, development, operations, and finance for small to mid-sized arts non-profit organizations. By providing expertise and staffing to these clients, we enable them to grow and fulfill their artistic missions. Who We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to execute a variety of activities essential to marketing an arts non-profit. This individual must be an excellent communicator, a strong writer, and a meticulous proofreader. They should be knowledgeable about music and capable of writing thoughtfully and engagingly on the subject. The position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities while executing various tasks essential to promoting our partner organizations.
Responsibilities Include:
Copywriting
- Draft, proofread, and distribute newsletters, e-blasts, and social media content.
- Create copy for print pieces such as brochures, programs and media kits.
- Develop and incorporate storytelling elements to enhance content engagement.
- Social Media and Digital Marketing:
- Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), including posting, monitoring engagement, and analyzing metrics.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and execute social media campaigns.
- Update and maintain client websites, ensuring accurate and engaging content.
- Create templates for presentations and newsletters.
Event Support:
- Assist with marketing efforts for events, including day-of concert production.
- Participate in off-site events.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work cross-functionally with teams including development, operations, and finance to support organizational goals.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for marketing materials as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in music, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proofreading and editing abilities with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and social media platforms.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact), design programs (e.g. Canva) and website platforms (e.g., WordPress).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in and appreciation for the arts is highly preferred.
Hours and Compensation:
This is a full-time position with occasional evenings and weekends for events. The position follows a hybrid model, currently requiring at least two days per week working in person at the office in Southfield.
- Salary: $38,000–$45,000, commensurate with experience.
